With the rapid growth of recent years and the imminent expansion into other markets in the region, we are seeking a BDV Associate (M&A+Strategy) who will play a key role in defining the company’s strategy and will support the C-Suite through financial analysis and business case development for international expansion.

[Qualifications & Requirements]

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering (Industrial, Civil, or similar), Business Administration, Accounting or similar. MSc or MBA is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role in investment banks (Transactions/M&A, Corporate Finance, or similar topics), consulting companies within the deal advisory practice, and/or infrastructure companies (energy, mining, highways, airports, etc.). Experience in the TMT sector is a plus
  • Demonstrable M&A transaction experience and experience in company valuation (DCF, EBITDA multiples, etc.), sales forecasts, expenses, balance sheet, cash flow projection, breakeven analysis, and operations planning
  • Solid knowledge of corporate finance and understanding of accounting, including how to link the company's 3 financial statements
  • Strong MS Office skills and, in particular, a high level of proficiency with Excel (knowledge of macros, predefined formulas, chart creation).
  • Ample experience building annual budgets and developing projections on business plans
  • Proficient financial modelling/valuation and analytical/numeracy skills
  • Problem-solving skills applied to financial model creation
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner
  • Fluency (both written and oral) in English and Spanish is mandatory
  • Excellent mathematical and IT skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate is considered a plus
  • Geographical flexibility: Although this role will be based between Concepción and Santiago, Chile, for the first 6 months, presence in other countries may be required upon request or for business travel


[Key Responsibilities]

  • Participating with senior team members in deal origination, pitch preparation, negotiations, and structuring.
  • Manage M&A projects from identification through relationship building, target engagement, due diligence, deal completion, and implementation handover.
  • Build financial models in Excel based on historical information and other specific industry operational metrics available
  • Perform detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and buy-out analysis
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses based on microeconomic and macroeconomic factors to assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities and determine potential business risks
  • Prepare detailed reports, financial models, and presentations for management and international investors
  • Identify and lead business development opportunities and build trusted relationships with our stakeholders
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage transactions from start to end
  • Update financial models after each earnings release or similar corporate actions
  • Analyse and identify data required to support model tracking
  • Ensure the accuracy of new models while enhancing the quality of existing models
  • Identify critical financial and non-financial risks and devise mitigation strategies for those risks
